Simple Minds, one of the best bands from the eighties and nineties I never got see during the era is on on tour this year. We saw them at the Concord Pavilion. It was a remarkable show that brought back a flood memories from days past. Jim Kerr’s voice remains one of the most unique and extraordinary in music.
Another unique and extraordinary voice is Mark Almond of Soft Cell who open for Simple Minds. They’re also wonderful live and opened my eyes to Almond’s work which I didn’t realize I like as much as I do.
