I was looking at my personal journal. Some of it is incredibly morose. Some of the darkest shit I’ve ever conjured lives there. The thing is I’m not that dark. Which got me thinking about journaling. Is there a tendency over exagerate the negative because a journal is supposed to be where you write about your demons?
Dunno.
Writing publicly make me happy. I used to have a public facing journal. It was cool but mildly annoying to revisit. Each post was entitled with the publish date but not all days were interesting. So I’m trying something new. Pick the highlight event of any given day and use that as the title. Purposeful Public Journaling could be the the name of the practice—if it in fact needs a name.
